Good morning!
Here I am
in my fairyland
- a handful of blue water
that to my eyes extends
as if it was the ocean,
a little isle behind
the bushes and the sand
all around this dam
shining like a gem
midst the red of the hills.

Buongiorno!
Sono qui
nel mio paese delle fate
- una manciata d'acqua blu
che ai miei occhi si estende
come fosse l'oceano,
una piccola isola dietro
i cespugli e la sabbia
tutto intorno a questa diga
che brilla come una gemma
nel rosso delle colline.

These words were born in English while walking along the old road "La Fornera" in the woods around the lake between Masserano and Casapinta (Biellese, Piedmont). The dam is surrounded by the "Terre Rosse" (Red Lands").
